Is lack of empathy in corporations, banks and politics responsible for our current crises?

As the UK is, in practise, not a Democracy but a kleptocratic Plutocracy it is a requirement that ALL politicians and their Banker friends should be fully-fledged psychopaths exhibiting varying degrees of alexithymia, a condition in which the individual is rendered incapable of recognising emotional arousal in others and is responsible for a severe lack of empathy with the rest of society!
