How can i mod a gameboy advance sp to do cooler stuff like play nes or snes games?

Im 13 and my parents want me to throw it out cause i never use but i want it to do some cool stuff so if you can give me some easy tutorials. My parents keep saying its junk so if i could change their mind that would be cool.
