Anyone see The Orphanage? I have a couple questions?

I read message boards and realized a missed a lot of hints and clues through out the movie. for me-I guess trying to pay attention to all that was going on wasn't that easy while reading the movie. Anyway,a lot of people on the message boards say that there was nothing supernatural about the movie at all-besides the medium. That it was Simon playing games( he had the 2nd hunt set up before he disappeared) and Laura loosing it and imagining things after his disappearance. I'm wondering how Simon knew about Tomas. Did he really see his ghost or just find the cellar and use that info in his games? If there were no ghosts how did Simon find the door handle? Oh-also Simon found out about his HIV and adoption by over hearing Beniegna(sp). It was in the deleted scenes.
