Did Anthony Weiner break the law?

I heard on the radio today he sent a sex text to a teenager-how old, I don't know. Sorry, I don't know the laws around "sexting." I didn't even know about it until Weiner. I doubt it is illegal, as it has not had time to reach the courts. And, no one seems to have made a fuss about it-until now. Seems like people should be able to share sexually explicit photos with one another, if they so choose. If teen is under 18, as you say, this may be illegal, depending on circumstances. So, no, I don't think he broke the law. His biggest mistake was lying to the people at the beginning.
